...and you could have this bad boy in your carport for the bargain basement price of $1.2 million !
"See, it has four doors, just like you specified. ...Honey?"
The retro-future interior is worth the price alone!
(though that fleshy-looking shift lever is making me uncomfortable)
I mean c'mon, can you really go wrong with a 4.8 liter flat-12 cylinder engine and manual trans? I think not!
The good news is that it's an investment: the car last sold in a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for 176,000 Euro (about $240k USD), although it failed to cross the auction block !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Euro (about $631k USD).
The bad news is a disclaimer at the very bottom of the auction listing:
"Please note the 1980 Ferrari Pinin Prototype by Pinin Farina was originally manufactured as an undriveable show car."
I mean, if you were planning on spending similar money on a rare !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , you might as well go the practical 4-door route and get this even rarer one-of-one Ferrari. I think the choice is obvious.

Somehow this invokes a feeling of: "it shouldn't look good, but it does".

I love how thin the roof appears to be in this pic.

Ooof. For how rare, cool and historic it is, it looks like someone performed some plastic surgery on a 90s full size RV and welded it to a fox-body notchback Mustang rear.
Still would hoon.

This is the third time the story makes it to Oppo, but I don't complain. I just love this car so much. What a great design, and that it's silver is a huge bonus in my books.

Cp. It was for sale privately for 200 grand less two years ago, plus a four door wouldn't even be good on the track, since its not registerable.

no prob!
i had nearly finished typing this up when i though, "gee, maybe i should do a search to see if anyone else beat me to it." and that's often the case, but what can you do except give one of these:

yeah, agreed. only people with Scrooge McDuck money and sultans would vote NP on this one. (plus I don't like the front end)

yeah, you just can't hang your arm out of contemporary cars. try doing that in a modern Camaro or Challenger... not gonna happen.

yeah, I really like that pic.

the jury is still out for me on that front end, but i like the other angles. cool rear end.
that shift knob still makes me uncomfortable...

yeah, i'm definitely cocking my head when i look at this one. i don't hate it, just not sure what i think.
and because it's probably not legal for street use, you'd have to hoon it at a racetrack. which, works for me!
